In October 2014, a cute, lovely male cat started coming to our office in the Bosphorus university (I work as a software developer in a small software company at the Teknopark in the Bosphorus university). He was coming, sleeping, and then going. I bought some cat food started feeding him.
He was always leaving the office at night. And the next morning coming again. I named him “Bıdık”. He was so lovely and I loved him much. I especially loved his sleeping skills.
One evening… he left the office and never came back. I waited him for days, hoping someday, somehow he would return. But he didn’t.
Days were following each other… I gradually lost my hope. But some nights, I was going to the window of the office (our office is on the base ground) and saying “Here kitty, kitty, kitty!” to the cold, dark night. No replies ever… Until the night of January 26, 2015.
On that night, as usual, I was saying “Here kitty, kitty, kitty!” at the window. Suddenly, I noticed a fast-moving, small, dark figure. A cat! Running to me! She run, run, run and jumped on my lap. A female tabby (with a few touches of colors here and there), she was so little, so cute, so lovely. Her heart was beating wildly… She was only a few months old, maybe nine-ten. Not a year…
It was an instant love. I started petting her. She started rubbing his head on my face, even licking my face. I gave her some food. She ate… It turned out she was so thirsty. I gave her some water and she drunk a lot. She was really lovely, cute, and curious. She also had excellent sleeping skills like Bıdık.
I didn’t expect that, I mean falling in love with another cat other than Bıdık. But I was in love with that cute little tabby.
After two weeks from the first meeting, I brought her home. But it’s an another story.
And why her name is Lotto? This is also another story.
