According to the Guinness World Records (The Guinness Book of Records until 1988), there are four official world records which belong to cats. These are “Longest domestic cat (living)”, “Loudest purr by a domestic cat”, “Longest jump by a cat”, and “Most tricks performed by a cat in one minute”.
Longest domestic cat (living)
The longest domestic cat is Ludo, a Maine Coon, at 118.33 cm (3 ft 10.59 in) long. He was measured on 6 October 2015. Three measurements were taken by the vet and the record is calculated as the average. The measurements were 120 cm, 120 cm, and 115 cm.
Ludo is owned by Kelsey Gill from United Kingdom.
Loudest purr by a domestic cat
The loudest purr by a domestic cat was achieved by Merlin and it is 67.8 db(A). It is recorded at her home in Torquay, Devon, UK, on 2 April 2015, when Merlin was 13 year old.

Longest jump by a cat
The longest jump by a cat is 182.88 cm (6 ft) and was achieved by Alley on 27 October 2013. She is owned by Samantha Martin from the United States, in Austin, Texas.
Alley is a rescue cat who found in Alleyway, Chicago, along with three other kittens. After adopting her, the owner Samantha Martin realized that she had a very special talent: jumping. Only after a year, she was able to jump full six feet.
Most tricks performed by a cat in one minute
The most tricks performed by a cat in one minute is 20. The record is achieved by Didga and her owner Robert Dollwet (USA/Australia) in Tweed Heads, New South Wales, Australia, on 5 February 2016.
Didga completed tricks varying from rolling over to jumping over a bar whilst on a skateboard.
Didga was adopted from a cat shelter. Dollwet never forced her to perform tricks. He just used “positive experiences” like feeding her on a skateboard.

- Go onto one-side
- Roll-over
